Configuration Manager Servicing Extension : how to add custom RSS feeds

In my previous blog post on the Configuration Manager Servicing Extension I mentioned it was possible to also add custom RSS feeds in the blogs node. This is a quick follow-up post to to demonstrate how to do that. The process is really straightforward, you just have to know where you can enable them.

I initially looked for a way to add feeds in the Blogs section, but as you can see there is no real option to do so:

To add RSS feeds you need to move one step up to Site Servicing and then expand the About section. At the bottom you will find a button called Manage RSS Subscriptions.

Click the button to add/remove RSS subscriptions and change the order.

Additional subscriptions are displayed in Site Servicing as soon as they have been added.

And they also become visible in the dropdown in the Blogs section.

Hope it helps!
