A few years back I was offered the opportunity to speak at a local user group event organized by the Belgian System Center User Group. I delivered a session on Enterprise Client Management with Configuration Manager. The session went really well and I received quite some positive comments and feedback from both the organizers and the session attendees. That moment sparked my passion to work further on my presentation skills and seize more opportunities to deliver sessions at community events and also larger conferences. Also around that time Microsoft had offered me the opportunity to attend a professional speaker training course, which helped me progress a lot.
Over the past few years I have had the pleasure and opportunity to deliver sessions at small, medium sized and large technology events around the globe. Below is a short extract and overview of the events I was part of. I am very grateful to the event organizers of these events for considering me as a speaker in the first place, and for selecting my session proposals.
If you are an event organizer and would consider having me talk at your event, please do not hesitate to contact me!
Midwest Management Summit 2014 (Minnesota, USA)
The Midwest Management Summit is a 3-day conference purposely capped to just 500 attendees so that nobody gets lost in the crowd. A true community driven event that arose from the ashes of the old Microsoft Management Summit. At this event I presented two sessions on Unified Device Management with my co-speaker Kenny Buntinx.
IT Dev Connections 2014 (Las Vegas, USA)
At IT Dev Connections I delivered two sessions together with Kenny Buntinx. Both sessions were focused on Unified Device Managment with Configuration Manager and Intune. Rod Trent made videos to introduce the speakers – together with my other fellow Belgian speakers I was mentioned in episode 5.
ITPROCeed (Antwerp, Belgium)
ITProCeed is the biggest IT Pro event in Belgian, organized and supported by Microsoft and the local Belgian user groups.
At this firest edition of ITProCeed I presented a session together with Kenny Buntinx on Unified Device Managed entitled “Managing your hybrid Mobile cloud Workforce Demystified with System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2”
BriForum Europe 2014 (London, UK)
BriForum is about end-user computing – we live, eat, and breathe at the point where end users intersect with enterprise IT technology. We talk about desktop virtualisation and VDI products. We dig into DaaS platforms, enterprise mobility technologies and provide a vendor-neutral perspective on maintaining a balance between usability, security, and control in today’s virtualised and mobile marketplace. We dive deep into the nerve-wracking (yet very real) trend of “consumerisation” – and evaluate enterprise-focused IT products that allow IT to maintain control and compliance.
First time at BriForum and delivered a session called “ConfigMgr 2012 R2 and Intune: Setup and Deployment Notes from the Field”. Co-speaker for this session was Kenny Buntinx.
SCUGbe System Center Night (Brussels, Belgium)
Delivered a session on Configuration Manager Compliance Settings at a local user group event.
System Center Universe Network (Webcast, Global)
Presented a session on the Configuration Manager channel of the SCU Network. The SCU Network is a collection of channels providing information in all areas of the System Center Universe and is hosted by Catapult Systems. During this session I talked about the new and improved Client Health features in Configuration Manager 2012.
Best Of MMS (Antwerp, Belgium)
Delivered a session on Configuration Manager High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
Microsoft Techdays (Antwerp, Belgium)
Microsoft Techdays is a 3 day conference organized by Microsoft BeLux. At this event I co-hosted a session in the IT Pro track together with other System Center User Group speakers. The session covered new elements in the System Center 2012 product release.
At this event I was also present as an expert of the System Center booth in the exhibition hall.
